About Me

Andy Moffitt, a senior retail specialist at Mountain West Commercial in Salt Lake City, UT, is a top producing retail broker with over 12 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry.

Since 2007, Andy has completed hundreds of transactions for his clients, who are occupying well over one million square feet across multiple retail disciplines. His work includes tenant and landlord representation as well as retail investment sales. In his role at Mountain West Commercial, Andy has worked extensively with expanding regional and national retailers focused on strategic rollouts in new markets. A partial list of past and current clients includes Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage, Murphy Oil Corporation, Uncle Julio’s, Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop, BGR the Burger Joint, Pizzeria Limone, Lifetime Products, La Barba Coffee, Gourmandise The Bakery, SkinnyFATS, Nekter Juice Bar, Trolley Wing Company, Sola Salon Studios, and many more.

In addition to tenant representation services, Andy has worked with many local, regional and national landlords and developers including Vestar Development Co., Sperry Commercial, Asana Partners, The Boyer Company, and Parkside Investment. Additionally, over the past several years, Andy has been recognized as one of the top retail leasing brokers in Salt Lake City. Along with Vestar Development, Andy has championed the redevelopment of The Gateway shopping center in Salt Lake City, with over 225,000 sf of new leases signed over the past 24 months in this once largely vacant mall.

Andy received the Rookie of the Year Award in 2012, and he consistently ranks as one of Mountain West Commercial’s top-producing brokers. Andy is an active member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) UT and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) UT chapter, having served in various positions within that organization. He also works closely with Salt Lake City’s Downtown Alliance and the Salt Lake City chapter of Silicon Slopes. He graduated from the University of UT in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance. When he’s not working, Andy most enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. Andy also enjoys skiing, hiking, traveling, exploring Southern UT, and golfing!
